घटस्थापना 

नवरात्रि की शुरूआत कलश स्थापना या घटस्थापना के साथ होती है। कलश स्थापना प्रतिपदा यानी नवरात्रि के पहले दिन देवी शक्ति की पूजा के साथ की जाती है। यदि यह पूजा शुभ मुहूर्त में संपन्न न हो, तो देवी अप्रसन्न हो जाती हैं, इसलिए आइए जानते हैं क्या है घटस्थापना या कलश स्थापना का शुभ मुहूर्त और विधि।

घटस्थापना के नियम

घटस्थापना मुहूर्त जानने से पहले यह जानना आवश्यक है कि इसके लिए शुभ दिन कौन-सा है। तो आइए चैत्र नवरात्रि के पहले दिन का मुहूर्त निकालने की विधि जानते हैं:

1. सूर्योदय के बाद यदि एक भी मुहूर्त प्रतिपदा में पड़ रहा है तो उसी दिन की सुबह से ही नवरात्रि शुरू होगी और कलश स्थापना या घटस्थापना की जाएगी।

2. यदि सूर्योदय के बाद प्रतिपदा एक मुहूर्त से कम हो और बाक़ी किसी दिन न हो, तब ऐसी स्थिति में अमायुक्त प्रतिपदा को पहला दिन माना जाएगा।

3. किसी दूसरी स्थिति में अमायुक्त प्रतिपदा में चैत्र नवरात्रि आरंभ करना निषिद्ध माना गया है।

4. यदि प्रतिपदा दो दिनों के सूर्योदय में पड़ रही है तो पहले दिन का मान्य होगा, दूसरे दिन त्यौहार की शुरुआत करना वर्जित है।

5. यदि पहले दिन देवी चण्डिका की पूजा करनी हो तो अमायुक्त प्रतिपदा में नहीं करनी चाहिए। ऐसी स्थिति में दूसरे दिन में पड़ रही प्रतिपदा मान्य होगी।

यदि पहले दिन देवी चण्डिका की पूजा करनी हो तो अमायुक्त प्रतिपदा में नहीं करनी चाहिए। ऐसी स्थिति में दूसरे दिन में पड़ रही प्रतिपदा मान्य होगी।

1. घटस्थापना का सबसे उत्तम समय दिन का पहला एक तिहाई हिस्सा है।

2. किसी दूसरी स्थिति में अभिजीत मुहूर्त सबसे उत्तम माना गया है।

3. किचित्रा नक्षत्र और वैधृति योग की अवधि में घटस्थापना करने से बचना चाहिए, पर यह समय पूरी तरह से वर्जित नहीं है।

4. किसी भी परिस्थिति में घटस्थापना हिन्दू समय के अनुसार प्रतिपदा तिथि के दिन के मध्य से पहले होनी चाहिए।

5. चैत्र नवरात्रि में प्रतिपदा की सुबह द्वि-स्वभाव लग्न मीन होता है, इस अवधि में भी घटस्थापना करना शुभ माना गया है।

6. घटस्थापना के लिए शुभ नक्षत्र हैं: पुष्या, उत्तराफाल्गुनी, उत्तराषाढ़, उत्तराभाद्रपद, हस्ता, रेवती, रोहिणी, अश्विनी, मूल, श्रवण, धनिष्ठा और पुनर्वसु।

नोट: सूर्योदय होने से 16 घटी के बाद घटस्थापना का कार्य वर्जित है। दूसरे शब्दों में कहें तो घटस्थापना हिन्दू समय के अनुसार प्रतिपदा के दिन के मध्य से पहले होनी चाहिए।

घटस्थापना के लिए आवश्यक सामग्री

1. चौड़े मुँह वाला मिट्टी का एक बर्तन
2. पवित्र स्थान की मिट्टी
3. सप्तधान्य (7 प्रकार के अनाज)
4. कलश
5. जल (संभव हो तो गंगाजल)
6. कलावा/मौली
7. सुपारी
8. आम या अशोक के पत्ते (पल्लव)
9. अक्षत (कच्चा साबुत चावल)
10. छिलके/जटा वाला नारियल
11. लाल कपड़ा
12. पुष्प और पुष्पमाला

ज़रूरत के अनुसार सामग्री बढ़ा भी सकते हैं, जैसे - मिठाई, दूर्वा, सिंदूर इत्यादि।

घटस्थापना विधि

1. पहले मिट्टी को चौड़े मुँह वाले बर्तन में रखें और उसमें सप्तधान्य बोएँ।

2. अब उसके ऊपर कलश में जल भरें और उसके ऊपरी भाग (गर्दन) में कलावा बाँधें।

3. आम या अशोक के पल्लव को कलश के ऊपर रखें।

4. अब नारियल को लाल कपड़े में लपेटकर कलश के ऊपर और पल्लव के बीच में रखें।

5. नारियल में कलावा भी लपेटा होना चाहिए।

6. घटस्थापना पूर्ण होने के बाद देवी का आह्वान करते हैं।

आप चाहें तो अपनी इच्छानुसार और भी विधिवत पूजा कर सकते हैं।

पूजा संकल्प मंत्र

9 दिनों तक व्रत रखने वाले भक्तों को निम्नलिखित मंत्र के साथ पूजा का संकल्प करना चाहिए:

ॐ विष्णुः विष्णुः विष्णुः, अद्य ब्राह्मणो वयसः परार्धे श्रीश्वेतवाराहकल्पे जम्बूद्वीपे भारतवर्षे, अमुकनामसम्वत्सरे चैत्रशुक्लप्रतिपदि अमुकवासरे प्रारभमाणे नवरात्रपर्वणि एतासु नवतिथिषु अखिलपापक्षयपूर्वक-श्रुति-स्मृत्युक्त-पुण्यसमवेत-सर्वसुखोपलब्धये संयमादिनियमान् दृढ़ं पालयन् अमुकगोत्रः अमुकनामाहं भगवत्याः दुर्गायाः प्रसादाय व्रतं विधास्ये।

नोट: मंत्र का उच्चारण शुद्ध होना चाहिए। इस मंत्र में कई जगह अमुक शब्द आया है। जैसे- अमुकनामसम्वत्सरे, यहाँ पर आप अमुक की जगह संवत्सर का नाम उच्चारित करेंगे। यदि संवत्सर का नाम सौम्या है तो इसका उच्चारण सौम्यनामसम्वत्सरे होगा। ठीक ऐसे ही अमुकवासरे में उस दिन का नाम, अमुकगोत्रः में अपने गोत्र का नाम और अमुकनामाहं में अपना नाम उच्चारित करें।

यदि पहले, दूसरे, तीसरे आदि दिनों के लिए उपवास रखा जाए, तब ऐसी स्थिति में ‘एतासु नवतिथिषु’ की जगह उस तिथि के नाम के साथ संकल्प किया जाएगा जिस तिथि को उपवास रखा जा रहा है। जैसे - यदि सातवें दिन का संकल्प करना है, तो मंत्र इस प्रकार होगा:

ॐ विष्णुः विष्णुः विष्णुः, अद्य ब्राह्मणो वयसः परार्धे श्रीश्वेतवाराहकल्पे जम्बूद्वीपे भारतवर्षे, अमुकनामसम्वत्सरे चैत्रशुक्लप्रतिपदि अमुकवासरे प्रारभमाणे नवरात्रपर्वणि सप्तम्यां तिथौ अखिलपापक्षयपूर्वक-श्रुति-स्मृत्युक्त-पुण्यसमवेत-सर्वसुखोपलब्धये संयमादिनियमान् दृढ़ं पालयन् अमुकगोत्रः अमुकनामाहं भगवत्याः दुर्गायाः प्रसादाय व्रतं विधास्ये।

ऐसे ही अष्टमी तिथि के लिए सप्तम्यां की जगह अष्टम्यां का उच्चारण होगा।

षोडशोपचार पूजा के लिए संकल्प

यदि नवरात्रि के दौरान षोडशोपचार पूजा करनी हो तो नीचे दिए गए मंत्र से प्रतिदिन पूजा का संकल्प करें:

ॐ विष्णुः विष्णुः विष्णुः, अद्य ब्राह्मणो वयसः परार्धे श्रीश्वेतवाराहकल्पे जम्बूद्वीपे भारतवर्षे, अमुकनामसम्वत्सरे चैत्रशुक्लप्रतिपदि अमुकवासरे नवरात्रपर्वणि अखिलपापक्षयपूर्वकश्रुति-स्मृत्युक्त-पुण्यसमवेत-सर्वसुखोपलब्धये अमुकगोत्रः अमुकनामाहं भगवत्याः दुर्गायाः षोडशोपचार-पूजनं विधास्ये।

Navaratri begins with the establishment of Kalash or Ghatasthapana. Kalash installation is done on the first day of Pratipada i.e. Navratri with the worship of Goddess Shakti. If this puja is not performed in the auspicious time, then the Goddess is unhappy, so let's know what is the auspicious time and method of Ghatasthapana or Kalash establishment.

Law of substitution

Before knowing Ghatasthapana Muhurta, it is necessary to know which auspicious day is for it. So let us know the method of taking out the Muhurta of the first day of Chaitra Navratri:

1. If any single Muhurta is falling in Pratipada after sunrise, then Navratri will start from the morning of the same day and Kalash installation or Ghatasthapan will be done.

2. If Pratipada is less than one Muhurta after sunrise and there is no rest of the day, then in such a situation Amayukta Pratipada will be considered as the first day.

3. In any other situation, starting of Chaitra Navratri in Amayukta Pratipada is considered prohibited.

4. If Pratipada is falling in two days of sunrise, then the first day will be valid, it is forbidden to start the festival on the second day.

5. If worshiping Goddess Chandika on the first day should not be done in Amayukta Pratipada. In such a situation, the competition falling on the second day will be valid.

If you want to worship Goddess Chandika on the first day, then you should not do it in Amayukta Pratipada. In such a situation, the competition falling on the second day will be valid.

1. The best time for Ghatasthapana is the first one-third of the day.

2. In any other situation, Abhijeet Muhurta is considered the best.

3. During the period of Kichitra Nakshatra and Validriti Yoga, one should avoid Ghatasthapana, but this time is not completely forbidden.

4. Under any circumstances, Ghatasthapana should take place before the middle of the day of Pratipada date according to Hindu time.

5. On the morning of Pratipada in Chaitra Navaratri, there is a double-tempered lagna Pisces, it is considered auspicious to do Ghatasthapana in this period also.

6. The auspicious constellations for Ghatasthapana are: Pushya, Uttaraphalguni, Uttarashadha, Uttarabhadrapada, Hasta, Revathi, Rohini, Ashwini, Moola, Shravan, Dhanishtha and Punarvasu.

Note: Ghatasthapana is prohibited after 16 hours after sunrise. In other words, Ghatasthapana should take place before the middle of Pratipada day according to Hindu times.

Material required for installation

1. A clay pot with wide mouth
2. Soil of the Holy Place
3. Saptadhanya (7 types of grains)
4. Urn
5. Water (Ganga water if possible)
6. Kalawa / Molly
7. Betel
8. Mango or Ashoka leaf (Pallava)
9. Akshat (raw whole rice)
10. Coconut / peeled coconut
11. Red cloth
12. Flower and Wreath

You can also increase the ingredients as per the requirement, such as sweets, durva, vermilion etc.

Substitution method

1. First put the soil in a wide-faced pot and sow saptadhanya in it.

2. Now fill water in the urn on it and tie Kalava in its upper part (neck).

3. Place the Pallava of Mango or Ashoka on the Kalash.

4. Now wrap the coconut in a red cloth and place it on top of the urn and in between the Pallavas.

5. Kalava should also be wrapped in coconut.

6. After the completion of Ghatasthapana, invoke the Goddess.

If you wish, you can worship more methodically as you wish.

Puja sankalp mantra

Devotees observing fast for 9 days should pledge with the following mantra:

Vishnuः Vishnuः Vishnuः, this day Brahmno Vysः Prardhe Srishvetwarahkalpe Jmbudweepe Bartwarse, Amuknamsamwatsre Catrshuklpratipdi Amukwasre Prarbmane Nvratrprwni Atasu Nwatithisu Akilpapakshypurwk-Shruti-Smrityukt-Punysmvet-Srwsukhoplbdye Snymadiniaman Dridhn Palyn Amukgotrः Amuknamahn Bgvtyaः Durgayaः Prasaday Wrtn Vidhasye.

Note: The chanting of the mantra should be pure. Many words have appeared in this mantra. Like - Amuknamasamvatsare, here you will pronounce the name of Samvatsar instead of Amuk. If the name of Samvatsar is Soumya, it will be pronounced Saumyaanamaswatsare. In the same way, pronounce the name of that day in Amukwasara, the name of your gotra in Amukagotra and your name in Amuknamahan.

If fasting is kept for the first, second, third etc. days, then in such a situation 'Etasu Navatithisu' will be resolved with the name of the date on which the fast is being observed. For example, if you have to resolve on the seventh day, then the mantra will be as follows:

For such an Ashtami date, the place of Sapthamyan will be pronounced Ashtamya.

Sankalpochar pledge resolution
If Shodashopchar Puja is to be performed during Navratri, then resolve the daily worship with the following mantra:
