हिंदू कैलेंडर के अनुसार, माघ के महीने में पड़ने वाली पूर्णिमा तिथि को माघ पूर्णिमा कहा जाता है। माघ पूर्णिमा का धार्मिक और आध्यात्मिक दृष्टि से विशेष महत्व है। इस तिथि पर स्नान, दान और जप करना बहुत पुण्यकारी बताया गया है। माघ पूर्णिमा पर माघ स्नान का विशेष महत्व बताया गया है। माघ के महीने में चलने वाला यह स्नान पौष माह की पूर्णिमा से शुरू होकर माघ पूर्णिमा तक चलता है। माघ पूर्णिमा कल्पवास और त्रिवेणी में प्रयाग के तीर्थ स्नान का अंतिम दिन है। हिंदू मान्यताओं के अनुसार, भगवान माधव उन लोगों से प्रसन्न होते हैं जो माघ में स्नान करते हैं और उन्हें सुख, स्नेह, धन और मोक्ष प्रदान करते हैं।माघ पूर्णिमा का महत्व
माघ पूर्णिमा की उत्पत्ति माघ नक्षत्र के नाम से हुई है। ऐसा माना जाता है कि माघ महीने के दौरान, देवता पृथ्वी पर आते हैं और प्रयाग में मानव रूप लेते हैं, स्नान करते हैं, दान करते हैं और जप करते हैं। इसलिए कहा जाता है कि इस दिन प्रयाग में गंगा स्नान करने से सभी मनोकामनाएं पूरी होती हैं और मोक्ष की प्राप्ति होती है। शास्त्रों में लिखे बयानों के अनुसार, अगर माघ पूर्णिमा के दिन पुष्य नक्षत्र होता है, तो इस तिथि का महत्व और अधिक बढ़ जाता है।माघ पूर्णिमा व्रत और पूजा विधान
माघ पूर्णिमा पर स्नान, दान, हवन, व्रत और जप किया जाता है। इस दिन भगवान विष्णु की पूजा, पूर्वजों का श्राद्ध और गरीब लोगों को दान करना चाहिए। माघ पूर्णिमा व्रत की पूजा विधि इस प्रकार है:1. माघ पूर्णिमा की सुबह सूर्योदय से पहले किसी भी पवित्र नदी, जलाशय, कुआं या सौतेले घर में स्नान करना चाहिए। स्नान करने के बाद सूर्य देव को सूर्य मंत्र का जाप करना चाहिए।
2. स्नान करने के बाद व्रत करने के बाद भगवान मधुसूदन की पूजा करनी चाहिए।
3. मध्याह्न के समय गरीब लोगों और ब्राह्मणों को भोजन कराया जाना चाहिए और भिक्षा देनी चाहिए।
4. तिल और काले तिल को दान में विशेष रूप से देना चाहिए। काले तिल के साथ हवन और काले तिल के साथ पितरों को माघ के महीने में चढ़ाया जाना चाहिए।
माघ मेला और कल्पवास
माघ मेला हर साल तीर्थराज प्रयाग (इलाहाबाद) में आयोजित किया जाता है, जिसे कल्पवास कहा जाता है। इसमें देश विदेश से श्रद्धालु शामिल होते हैं। प्रयाग में कल्पवास की परंपरा सदियों से चली आ रही है। माघ पूर्णिमा के दिन कल्पवास का समापन स्नान के साथ होता है। माघ के महीने में कल्पवास की बड़ी महिमा है। इस महीने, प्रयाग में संगम के तट पर स्थित तीर्थराज को कल्पवास कहा जाता है। कल्पवास का अर्थ है संगम के किनारे निवास करके वेदों का अध्ययन और मनन करना। कल्पवास धैर्य, अहिंसा और भक्ति का संकल्प है।Magha Purnima

Magha Purnima originates from the name of Magha Nakshatra. It is believed that during the month of Magh, the gods come to earth and take human form, bathe, donate and chant in Prayag. Therefore, it is said that taking a Ganges bath in Prayag on this day fulfills all desires and attains salvation. According to the statements written in the scriptures, if there is Pushya Nakshatra on the day of Magha Purnima, then the importance of this date increases further.Magha Purnima Vrat and Puja Vidhi
Bathing, donation, havan, fast and chanting are done on Magh Purnima. On this day, worship of Lord Vishnu, shraddha of ancestors and donations to poor people should be made. The worship method of Magh Purnima fast is as follows:1. On the morning of Magh Purnima, one should bathe in any holy river, reservoir, well or stepwell before sunrise. After bathing, chanting Surya Mantra should be offered to the Sun God.
2. After taking a bath, after taking a vow, one should worship Lord Madhusudan.
3. During the mid-day, poor people and Brahmins should be given food and give alms.
4. Sesame seeds and black sesame seeds should be given exclusively in charity. Havan with black sesame seeds and Pitras with black sesame should be offered in the month of Magha.
