फाल्गुन माह के कृष्ण पक्ष में पड़ने वाली अमावस्या को फाल्गुन अमावस्या कहा जाता है। यह अमावस्या विशेष रूप से सुख, धन और सौभाग्य की प्राप्ति के लिए फलदायी है। फाल्गुन अमावस्या व्रत जीवन में सुख और शांति के लिए मनाया जाता है। इसके साथ ही पितरों की शांति के लिए इस दिन तर्पण और श्राद्ध भी किया जाता है। यदि अमावस्या सोम, मंगल, गुरु या शनिवार को हो, तो यह सूर्य ग्रहण से अधिक फलदायी है।

फाल्गुन अमावस्या व्रत और धार्मिक कार्य

धार्मिक मान्यताओं के अनुसार, फाल्गुन अमावस्या के दिन किया गया व्रत और धार्मिक कर्म तुरंत फलदायी होते हैं। हर अमावस्या पर पितरों के तर्पण का भी विशेष महत्व है। इस दिन की गई धार्मिक गतिविधियां इस प्रकार हैं-

● इस दिन किसी नदी, जलाशय या कुंड में स्नान करें और सूर्य देव को अर्घ्य देने के बाद पितरों का तर्पण करें।
● पितरों की आत्मा की शांति के लिए उपवास करें और किसी गरीब व्यक्ति को भिक्षा और दान दें।
● अमावस्या के दिन शाम को पीपल के पेड़ के नीचे सरसों के तेल का दीपक लगाएं और अपने पितरों को याद करें। पीपल की सात परिक्रमा करें।
● रुद्र, अग्नि और ब्राह्मणों की पूजा करने के बाद, उन्हें उड़द, दही और पुरी आदि के नैवेद्य अर्पित करें और उन्हीं पदार्थों का एक बार सेवन करें।
● शिव मंदिर जाएं, कच्चे दूध, दही, शहद से शिव का अभिषेक करें और उन्हें काले तिल चढ़ाएं।
● अमावस्या को शनिदेव का दिन भी माना जाता है। इसलिए इस दिन उनकी पूजा करना आवश्यक है। अमावस्या को शनि मंदिर में नीले फूल चढ़ाएं। काले तिल, काला साबुत उड़द, कड़वा तेल, काजल और काला कपड़ा अर्पित करें।

फाल्गुन अमावस्या का महत्व

धार्मिक मान्यता के अनुसार, फाल्गुन अमावस्या पर, देवी और देवता पवित्र नदियों में निवास करते हैं, इसलिए इस दिन गंगा, यमुना और सरस्वती में स्नान का विशेष महत्व है। यदि फाल्गुन अमावस्या सोमवार को है, तो इस दिन महाकुंभ स्नान भी किया जाता है, जो असीम फलदायी होता है।

The Falgun Amavasya fast is observed for happiness and peace in life. Along with this, tarpan and shraadh are also done on this day for the peace of the ancestors. If Amavasya is on Som, Mangal, Guru or Saturday, then it is more fruitful than solar eclipse.

Phalgun Amavasya fast and religious work

According to religious beliefs, fasts and religious deeds performed on the day of Falgun Amavasya are immediately fruitful. The offering of ancestors on every Amavasya also has special significance. The religious activities performed on this day are as follows-

● On this day, take a bath in a river, reservoir or pool, and after offering arghya to the sun god, offer the ancestors.
● Fast for the peace of the souls of the fathers and give alms and donations to a poor person.
● In the evening on the new moon day put a lamp of mustard oil under the peepal tree and remember your fathers. Do seven circles of Peepal.
● After worshiping Rudra, Agni and Brahmins, offer them Naivedya of Urad, Dahi and Puri etc. and consume those same substances once.
● Go to Shiva temple, anoint Shiva with raw milk, curd, honey and offer black sesame seeds to him.
● Amavasya is also considered to be the day of Shani Dev. Therefore it is necessary to worship them on this day. Offer blue flowers in Shani temple for Amavasya. Offer black sesame, black whole urad, bitter oil, kajal and black cloth.

Importance of Falgun Amavasya

According to religious belief, on the Falgun Amavasya, the Gods and Goddesses dwell in the holy rivers, so bathing in the Ganges, Yamuna and Saraswati is of special importance on this day. If Phalgun Amavasya is on Monday, then Mahakumbh bath is also formed on this day, which is infinitely fruitful.
