षटतिला एकादशी पर भगवान विष्णु की पूजा की जाती है। कुछ लोग बैकुंठ के रूप में भगवान विष्णु की पूजा भी करते हैं। शतलीला एकादशी पर तिल का विशेष महत्व बताया गया है। इस दिन 6 प्रकार के तिलों का उपयोग किया जाता है। इनमें तिल से स्नान, तिल का उबटन लगाना, तिल से हवन करना, तिल से तर्पण, तिल का भोजन और तिल का दान किया जाता है, इसलिए इसे षटतिला एकादशी व्रत कहा जाता है।

षटतिला एकादशी पूजा विधि

इस दिन भगवान विष्णु की विधिपूर्वक पूजा करें:

1. सुबह स्नान करने के बाद भगवान विष्णु की पूजा करें और उन्हें फूल, धूप आदि अर्पित करें।

2. इस दिन उपवास करने के बाद, रात में भगवान विष्णु की पूजा करें, साथ ही रात में जागरण और हवन भी करें।

3. इसके बाद द्वादशी के दिन सुबह उठकर भगवान विष्णु को स्नान के बाद और पंडितों को भोजन कराने के बाद स्वयं भोजन ग्रहण करें।

षटतिला एकादशी पर तिल का महत्व

अपने नाम के अनुसार, यह व्रत तिल से जुड़ा है। तिल का महत्व सर्वव्यापी है और हिंदू धर्म में तिल को बहुत पवित्र माना जाता है। पूजा में इनका विशेष महत्व है। इस दिन 6 प्रकार के तिल होते हैं।

1. तिल के पानी से स्नान करें

2. तिल के बीज को उबाल लें

3. तिल का बीज

4. तिल मिलाकर पानी पिएं

5. तिल का दान करें

6. तिल मिठाई और व्यंजन बनाओ

माना जाता है कि इस दिन तिल का दान करने से पापों का नाश होता है और भगवान विष्णु की कृपा से स्वर्ग की प्राप्ति होती है।

षटतिला एकादशी की कथा

धार्मिक मान्यता के अनुसार, एक समय नारद मुनि भगवान विष्णु के निवास बैकुंठ पहुंचे। वहाँ उन्होंने भगवान विष्णु से शतलीला एकादशी के व्रत के महत्व के बारे में पूछा। नारद जी के आग्रह पर भगवान विष्णु ने बताया कि, प्राचीन काल में, एक ब्राह्मण की पत्नी पृथ्वी पर रहती थी। उनके पति की मृत्यु हो गई थी। वह मेरा समर्पित भक्त था और श्रद्धा के साथ मेरी पूजा करता था। एक बार उन्होंने एक महीने तक व्रत रखकर मेरी पूजा की। व्रत के प्रभाव के कारण, उसका शरीर शुद्ध हो गया था, लेकिन उसने कभी ब्राह्मण और देवताओं के लिए भोजन नहीं किया, इसलिए मैंने सोचा कि बैकुंठ में रहने के बाद भी यह महिला दुखी होगी, इसलिए मैं खुद एक दिन उससे पूछने गई भिक्षा के लिए।

जब मैंने उनसे भिक्षा की याचना की, तो उन्होंने एक मिट्टी की वस्तु उठाई और मेरे हाथों पर रख दी। मैं उस शरीर के साथ अपने निवास स्थान पर लौट आया। कुछ समय बाद उसने अपना शरीर त्याग दिया और मेरी दुनिया में आ गई। यहां उन्हें एक झोपड़ी और आम का पेड़ मिला। खाली झोंपड़ी को देखकर वह घबरा गई और मेरे पास आई और बोली, मैं धर्मपरायण हूं, फिर मुझे खाली झोपड़ी क्यों मिली? फिर मैंने उससे कहा कि यह भोजन दान नहीं करने और मुझे मिट्टी देने के कारण है। फिर मैंने उनसे कहा कि जब देव लड़कियाँ आपसे मिलने आती हैं, तो आपको अपना दरवाजा तभी तक खोलना चाहिए, जब तक कि वे आपको शतलीला एकादशी का व्रत करने का विधान नहीं बताते।

देवकी ने जो विधियाँ बताईं, उसी के साथ महिला ने भी ऐसा ही किया और षटतिला एकादशी का व्रत किया। व्रत के प्रभाव के कारण उसकी झोंपड़ी भोजन के पैसे से भर गई। इसलिए हे नारद, यह विश्वास करते हैं कि जो व्यक्ति इस एकादशी का व्रत करता है और तिल और अन्नदान करता है, उसे मोक्ष और वैभव की प्राप्ति होती है।

Shattila Ekadashi Puja Method

Worship Lord Vishnu on this day in a legal way:

1. Worship Lord Vishnu after bathing in the morning and offer flowers, incense etc. to him.
2. After fasting on this day, worship Lord Vishnu at night, as well as do Jagran and Havan at night.
3. After this, wake up in the morning on Dwadashi and offer Lord Vishnu after bath and after taking food to the Pandits, take food yourself.

Importance of Mole on Shatila Ekadashi

According to its name, this fast is associated with mole. The importance of sesame is ubiquitous and in Hinduism til is considered very sacred. They have special significance especially in worship. There are 6 types of sesame on this day.

1. Take a bath with sesame water
2. Boil ground sesame seeds
3. Hole the sesame seeds
4. Drink water mixed with sesame
5. Donate sesame seeds
6. Make Sesame Sweets and Dishes

It is believed that by donating sesame seeds on this day, sins are eliminated and by the grace of Lord Vishnu, heaven is attained.

Legend of Shattila Ekadashi

According to religious belief, at one time Narada Muni reached Lord Vishnu's abode Baikunth. There he asked Lord Vishnu about the importance of fasting on Shattila Ekadashi. On the insistence of Narada ji, Lord Vishnu told that, in ancient times, a Brahmin's wife lived on the earth. Her husband had died. She was my devoted devotee and worshiped me with reverence. Once he worshiped me by keeping a fast for a month. Due to the effect of the fast, her body was purified, but she never donated food for the Brahmin and the gods, so I thought that this woman would be unhappy even after living in Baikunth, so I myself went to her one day to ask for alms.

When I pleaded with him for alms, he picked up an earthen object and placed it on my hands. I returned to my abode with that body. After some time she gave up her body and came to my world. Here he found a hut and mango tree. Seeing the empty hut, she panicked and came to me and said, I am a pious, then why did I get an empty hut? Then I told him that it was due to not donating food and giving me mud. I then told him that when Dev girls come to meet you, then you should open your door only until they tell you the law of fasting on Shatila Ekadashi.

The woman did the same and fasted Shattila Ekadashi with the methods which Devakanya had said. Due to the effect of fast, her hut was filled with food money. Therefore, O Narada, believe that the person who fasts on this Ekadashi and performs Til and Annadan attains salvation and glory.
