हिन्दू पंचांग के पौष माह में शुक्ल पक्ष की पूर्णिमा को पौष पूर्णिमा कहा जाता है। पूर्णिमा तीर्थ हिंदू धर्म और भारतीय जीवन में बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है। पूर्णिमा तिथि चंद्रमा को प्रिय है और इस दिन चंद्रमा अपने पूर्ण आकार में होता है। हिंदू धार्मिक ग्रंथों में, पौष पूर्णिमा के दिन सूर्य देव को अर्घ्य देने, स्नान करने और अर्घ्य देने का विशेष महत्व बताया गया है। कहा जाता है कि पौष माह के समय किए जाने वाले धार्मिक अनुष्ठानों को पूर्णिमा पर स्नान करने से सार्थक होता है। पौष पूर्णिमा पर काशी, प्रयागराज और हरिद्वार में गंगा स्नान का बड़ा महत्व है।

1. पौष पूर्णिमा के दिन प्रातःकाल स्नान से पहले व्रत का संकल्प लें।

2. पवित्र नदी या कुंड में स्नान करें और स्नान से पहले वरुण देव की आज्ञा का पालन करें।

3. स्नान करने के बाद सूर्य देव को सूर्य मंत्र का जाप करना चाहिए।

4. स्नान करने के बाद, भगवान मधुसूदन की पूजा करें और उन्हें नैवेद्य अर्पित करें।

5. भोजन किसी जरूरतमंद व्यक्ति या ब्राह्मण को देना चाहिए।

6. तिल, गुड़, कंबल और ऊनी कपड़े विशेष रूप से दान में देने चाहिए।

पौष पूर्णिमा पर देश के विभिन्न तीर्थ स्थलों पर स्नान और धार्मिक आयोजन होते हैं। पौष पूर्णिमा से, माघ मेला प्रयाग के तीर्थ में शुरू होता है। इस धार्मिक त्योहार में स्नान को विशेष महत्व दिया गया है। धार्मिक विद्वानों के अनुसार, पौष पूर्णिमा पर माघ माह के स्नान का संकल्प लेना चाहिए।

Since the month of Pausha is the month of the Sun God and the full moon is the date of the moon. Therefore, this wonderful confluence of sun and moon occurs on the date of Paush Purnima. Worshiping both Sun and Moon on this day fulfills the desires and removes obstacles in life.

Paush Purnima Vrat and Puja Vidhi

Bathing, donating, chanting and fasting on Paush Purnima leads to the attainment of virtue and salvation. Worship of Sun God has special significance on this day. The fast and worship method of Paush Purnima are as follows:

1. On the day of Paush Purnima, take a vow before the morning bath.

2. Take a bath in the holy river or kund and pay obeisance to Varuna Dev before bathing.

3. After bathing, chanting Surya Mantra should be offered to the Sun God.

4. After bathing, one should worship Lord Madhusudan and offer Naivedya to him.

5. Food should be given to a needy person or a Brahmin.

6. Sesame, jaggery, blankets and woolen clothes should be specially given in charity.

Events held on Paush Purnima

Bathing and religious events take place at various pilgrimage sites in the country on Paush Purnima. From Paush Purnima, the Magh Mela begins in the pilgrimage of Prayag. In this religious festival, the bath has been given special importance. According to religious scholars, the resolution of bathing of the month of Magh should be taken on Paush Purnima.
